The 3^rd ASIAFORGE MEETING (the 3^rd AFM), the most important event of ASIAFORGE, has been successfully concluded. It has been held by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI) from September 12 to 16, 2010 in Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel, Shanghai, China. Under the slogan of ??Hand in Hand in Forging Industry??, this meeting has attracted nearly 600 people from 16 countries and regions, such as China, India, Japan, Korea, Chinese-Taipei, USA, UK, Germany, and Italy, etc. to exchange experience in production, to discuss forging technology, market, management and development trend, and to seek future cooperation.

 

ASIAFORGE was launched in 2005 by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI), Japan Forging Association (JFA), Korea Forging Cooperative (K.F.C.), Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) and Taiwan Forging Association, Chinese-Taipei (TWFA-CT), aiming to promote the growth of the forging industry in Asia through enhancing regional exchange and cooperation, and to build networks amongst the forging fraternity in Asia. The terms of the presidency and secretariat of ASIAFORGE takes turns biennially among the member associations and the ASIAFORGE Meeting will be held by the secretariat.

 

Following distinguished representatives from each association of ASIAFORGE has attended this conference: Mr. Miao Wenmin (President of CCMI), Mr. Li Shezhao (Honored President of CCMI), Mr. Masahiko TAKEUCHI (President of JFA), Mr. DEVEN DOSHI (President of AIFI), Mr. Vidyashankar Krishnan (Former President of AIFI), Mr. David Kang (President of K.F.C.), and Mr. Chiang Mu-Shan (Deputy Chairman of TWFA-CT). Furthermore, Mr. Roy W. Hardy (Executive Vice President & Chief Staff Officer of Forging Industry Association), Dr. Stefan Witt (Vice President of EUROFORGE) and Dr. Theodor Lutz Tutmann (Secretary General of EUROFORGE) also participated in the 3^rd AFM.
