M??ller Weingarten AG has organized a technology exchanging conference from Sept. 21 to Sept. 22 2006 in Changchun, Liaoning province, China when its products, SPEEDBAR production line of car body cover, has been put into production in the second plant of FAW-VOLKSWAGEN.  There were around 80 people, such as Mr. Junhe Qi (Deputy Secretary General of CCMI), Shanghai GM etc., participate in this conference.  During this meeting, MW gave four speeches to introduce their new production line and the development in Chinese market.  Then, after the conference, the participants have taken plant tours to the stamping plant of FAW and FAW-VOLKSWAGEN on Sept. 22 2006.

For now, MW has sold 300 units of large-sized production line in the Chinese Market.  The new company, M??ller Weingarten (Dalian) Metalforming Machinery Co., Ltd., is being built, and is going to put into production in 2007.

SPEEDBAR system, the newest generation system which bases on swingarm-transfer system, could improve flexibility and production efficiency of the whole stamping production line as well reducing investment for equipment and cost.  For now, there are three lines in the world that all are located in China.  After FAW has imported the first production line, the second plant of FAW-VOLKSWAGEN imported two, Shanghai Dongyue imported one.  Meanwhile, there is a new line will be set up in Beijing Benz in 2007.
